May 22, 2026"This was definitely one of the best meals we had in Manado — and such an unexpected find! We were staying at a remote resort far from the city center, and found this small family-run restaurant through Google Maps. The place only has a few tables, so we had to wait a bit both for a seat and for the food, but it was absolutely worth it. There’s no menu — they serve a set meal per person (around 100K IDR), which includes rice, soup, one chicken dish, one fish dish, and one vegetarian dish. Everything tasted home-cooked, fresh, and full of flavor. What made the experience even more special was the hospitality. They gave us fresh mango slices for free — picked straight from the mango trees in front of the restaurant. We even got extra grilled fish for free because other guests who went fishing brought back their catch, and the hosts were kind enough to share it with everyone. The grilled fish looked simple but tasted amazing — so fresh and perfectly cooked. And when dinner ended late, they even offered us a ride back to our resort by motorbike. Truly warm-hearted people, delicious food, and a very local, personal experience. Highly recommended if you’re in the area!"
